Rich materials and intricate details create a modern and inviting new entrance for this 1960's apartment building.  Triple columns of weathering steel highlight the entrance; they hang a cedar-clad roof and conceal the gutter. Raised concrete bases protect the columns from vehicles and feature a custom rainwater drain. The benches are milled from the cedar beams of the original canopy and are protected from the elements with hung glass panels.
